Boozy Mint Hot Chocolate


  • ¾ cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • ½ cup brewed coffee
  • 1 oz. dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 drops peppermint extract
  • 1 oz. dark rum
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Chocolate sauce, for topping


  1. Combine the milk and coffee in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over low heat. Add the dark chocolate and whisk to melt.
  2. Stir in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, and peppermint extract. Remove from heat and add the rum.
  3. Pour the boozy mint hot chocolate into a mug and top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
